Dive into the heart of the Bourbonnais country during your stay with us. The area owes its name to the house of Bourbon, which played an important role in the history of France, and which, in turn, borrowed its name from the town of Bourbon-l'Archambault, a few kilometres from Moulins. Discover a different pace of life in Bourbonnais, with its picturesque wooded countryside, hedgerows and green, rolling hills. As you wander through this verdant paradise, you will come across many châteaux and forts, but also traditional villages and countless hamlets. You will also encounter many farms - Bourbonnais has long specialized in cattle farming (with the charolaise meat certificate) and raising grass-fed lamb.
Stop off in one of the many antiques markets and fairs, including the famous Jaligny-sur-Besbre turkey fair, whose visitors include food critic and television personality Jean-Luc Petitrenaud who has covered the event several times for his show "Les Escapades de Petitrenaud".
